The Basin offers a unique camping opportunity with only boat or hiking access to the camp ground. Narrabeen Lagoon is a huge body of flat water, and offers lots of water sports, including standup paddle boarding, windsurfing, kite boarding and kayaking. The waters are calm under most conditions, and the water is mostly surrounded by parklands.
If you want a more technically challenging mountain-biking ride, then Manly Dam is the place for it. The track starts off easy, diverts back on some roads for a short distance before becoming a winding, twisting ride, with lots of ascents and descents, drop offs and jumps dotted with rocks and tree roots that keep you on your toes.
