Clovelly Beach is a small narrow sheltered bay, and is almost rectangular in shape. It is a very popular beach being located close to the popular residential areas of Clovelly and Randwick. The beach has great facilities for picnics and BBQs, and also has a cafe and restaurant. The snorkelling here is fantastic, with a great variety of sea life just below the surface. Along the sides of the bay there are multiple stairs leading down to the water. Diving is restricted during the warmer months, with the 9-5 hours being off limits during that period.
How to get there:
There is parking at Clovelly Beach, but being such a popular area it is better to catch a bus.
Bus: From the bus stop on Castlereagh Street near Bathurst Street, take the 339 or X39 to Clovelly.
Car: To get there from the city, drive down Anzac Parade, turn left onto Alison Road, left onto Cowper Street, and then right onto Clovelly Road. Follow it to the end.
